Bradley Portnoy

Recovering politico and digital strategist for Powell Tate (the Public Affairs division of Weber Shandwick). I try to make D.C. a more interesting place to live through my work with Brightest Young Things, and as a DJ and photographer. Always searching for more ways to impact the world for the better.

My Work

At Powell Tate, I've worked for a variety of non-profit, corporate social responsibility, and public affairs clients, including work on the Pepsi Refresh Project as both a strategic guide and the voice of Pepsi on Facebook and Twitter. I've trained some of the world's largest foundations in the use of social media, and pioneered digitally engaging state-by-state legislative campaigns.

Since 2009, I have worked with BrightestYoungThings.com to help enliven the cultural landscape in Washington, D.C. As one of the co-creators of the Brightest Young Gays, I've worked to bridge queer and straight communities and create spaces where everyone feels comfortable. My photography has been featured in DC Fotoweek, and I regularly DJ around town. Finally, for the past two years I've coordinated a partnership between BYT and Capital Pride that has resulted in two of the most successful nighttime pride parties in D.C. history (click here for photos).
